“Emotions make you cry sometimes!” (Of Course I do not own any rights to this song, but you know….I STILL HAVE TO SAY IT!)
How are you emotionally? Do you handle stress and stressful situations well? Are you a problem solver or a problem creator?
Having control of our emotions is one of the best things we can do for ourselves. Things will come up that make you sad, mad, pissed off, angry, anxious…….But one of the worst things we can do is act out of emotion. Acting out of emotion can put you in some places and situations you do not want to be in (hospital, jail, just to name a few!)
We have to learn how to check in with our emotions and find healthy ways to deal with stressful situations and keep our emotions in check.

Hey Sis,
The people you allow into your life and into your space are so important to shaping the life your want. They can build you up or tear you down. There are some signs to look for in quality people you want in your life, and signs to look for when its time to get rid of someone.
All relationships should build you up and make you a better person. No one deserves to be in your space unless they are building you up and bringing positivity into your life.
Go with your gut. Family or not…….If their energy does not sit right with you. Love them from a distance.

Practicing gratitude can be simple but life changing! Remember like attracts like. If your grateful over what you have you are able to attract more things to be grateful for.
In this episode I interview one of my mentors, Jen Nelson. She is all about gratitude and impacting others. Her light definitely shines bright through everything she does. She is a mom, wife, volleyball coach, human design coach, health and fitness expert and an AMAZING FRIEND.

Hey Sis,
You know the Bible Verse: “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
I have a saying I use all the time “Teach you kids who they are so that the world can’t tell them otherwise!” We truly are our children’s best teachers. The world will have our kids thinking all kinds of crazy things about themselves and having them doing and trying thigs against all of our morals and values. This is why conversations and strong relationships are so important
If we teach our kids its ok to talk about things (like sex, safe sex, drugs, racism, money, relationships etc) and have open and honest communication they can then pass this positive communication cycle on to their children!
We’ve got to get back to “REAL” communication! Don’t get me wrong I LOVE SOCIAL MEDIA! But is social media raising our kids? Do we want them to think life is all about making fast money and vanity?
I know I don’t. But we have got to break the curse and have real convos with our kids. Think about it, for most of us the conversation we had about sex was “DON’T DO IT.” No explanations why, no talk about being a single parent or how you carry soul ties around with you. Just a simple “SEX IS BAD, DON’T HAVE SEX!”
What did a lot of us do………………………Try it out anyway, which could have honestly had lifelong consequences.
In this episode we will discuss some of the things we need to talk to our kids about and why.
I will warn you the sound quality isn’t the best. I recorded this on my way back to Texas from Kansas after going to see Javen (my 18 year old son) play in his first tournament with his college team. But I was really feeling this topic and felt passionate about it! But it’s the content that counts right? (Lol)

Hey Sis,
It’s time to boss up!!! We are powerful, strong, beautiful beings that are capable of HAVING, DOING, and ACCOMPLISHING ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING that we want.
But…..Sometimes we hold ourselves back. We don’t know our own power! We shrink ourselves for the benefit of others. We let our environment and our past tell us what were capable of and don’t tap into our true power withing!
The 8 Pillars of Wellness make us who we are. We may be lacking in some areas while excelling in others.
This episode goes over The 8 Pillars of Wellness, ways to check if you’re doing well in an area and ways to improve in the areas.
We should check in with our wellness often and make adjustments when needed. Life is all about balancing these 8 pillars. Its not always easy, but its necessary in order to truly get the life you want and deserve. Nothing worth having EVER comes easy!!

Hey Sis,
Mindset is everything! Our minds are truly powerful. Let me prove it to you. Have you ever just been nervous all of a sudden for no reason? Or had a “bad feeling” out of nowhere? That’s your brain trying to find a problem to solve because that is its main purpose. Nothing may be wrong but you just feel like there is. Y’all know the saying “your mind is plaing tricks on you?” That’s because it is.
Proverbs 23:7 says “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” We can’t expect life to be positive, and wonderful if we continually fill our minds with negativity. When things are repeated over and over they become habits (good or bad). The good thing about being a human though is that you always have choices. You have a choice to change the way you think and your mindset as well by creating new habits.
In this episode I will give you 8 simple things that your can implement into your life for a better mindset that have personally worked for me. Below you will also find some resources to help you on your wellness journey to a better mindset.
There may be some things that happened to you that you are finding hard to get past. Things that may have caused this negative mindset and way of thinking. I would advise you to seek out a counselor or coach to help you work through these issues.
